Short Biography
Ph.D. in Economics and Full professor in Applied Economics at the Seville University (US). University Award for the best academic performance and award for the best thesis by the Focus-Abengoa Foundation. Member of the Chair of Energy and Environmental Economics: researcher in charge of the area of Energy and Economic Growth. Her main research lines focus on the relationships between energy and economic growth. Due to the worldwide research influence in the energy field, she appears since 2020 in the Stanford ranking. Responsible and researcher of national and international project as those funded by the Spanish Government, the Andalusian Government/FEDER, the European Commission, FEDER+Portugal funds, Government of Chile and of Colombia. She has been visiting researcher at the Universities of Groningen (Netherlands), Coimbra (Portugal), Autónoma de Chile. Currently, she maintains active collaborative research with the University of Bejaia (Algeria).
